Too many come to a point
of no return,
Which it is none of my concern I have learned,
So I sit back and burn and observe,
And see who really took a turn for the worse,
A couple of close friends I have had to
follow in a hearse,
And it hurt, every single piece of dirt,
Every single one of you I had to see lying
in a church,
Every single one of you that made me put
on my good shirt,
And my good tie, just to tell you goodbye,
Damn, if we had known then what we know
now,
Maybe then we could have saved a life somehow,
Somewhere, someone tell me, how we,
Could get to the point where we lose touch
with reality,
Terry Schiavo, if she could choose,
Weather or not she had the right to have
water and food,
Maybe it could change a couple of moods,
Change a couple of attitudes; give us a
new point of view,
Of life and how we should take it, how can
we rate it?
Pull a tube and slowly let it be faded,
Then judge our youths for the way they feel,
When the killing is real upon those battlefields,
And it is no joke, the reason people smoke,
The reason people drink, think, pop pills
and sink,
I have seen it too many times in my life,
Where people sit back, kick back and let
life pass them on by,
But not I, I want to evolve, I want to believe,
There has to be more to the human race than
we can see,
A deeper meaning to bring us all down stream,
Give us unity and help us realize we are
all on the same team...
